Over $130.00 Collected in Mite Boxes

Last Lent Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Lockhart, TX handed out over 60 Mite Boxes to collect funds for SPCK/USA. And guess what…they collected over $130.00 to further the ministry of the Society. Today I received an email from Laurie Bell, Secretary at Emmauel. She wrote:

“Last year during Lent we used mite boxes from SPCK. We would like to do it again for Advent. Could you please tell me how to order them?….God be with you, Laurie Bell.”

Today, 60 more Mite Boxes are on the way to Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Just imagine, if all the parishes who supported SPCK used these Mite Boxes just once a year, what an impact the funds collected could have on the lives of Christians around the world hungry for God’s word.
