Books Leave SPCK/USA Warehouse for Liberia
Yes, the books are on the way to the port in Charleston, SC where they will be loaded into a 20′ container…destination, Monrovia, Liberia. It was exciting to see the 16-wheeler Yellow Freight truck pull up to the warehouse. 42 boxes weighing 1,589 pounds, over 950 theological books, with a value of over $10,000.00 were shipped from the SPCK/USA warehouse on Wednesday. This project started as the dream of The Rev James T Yarsiah, vicar of St Andrew’s Episcopal mission in Charleston.Â
Fr Yarsiah writes, As Liberia recovers from 14 years of war and destruction, we at St Andrew’s Mission, other churches and institutions, are grateful to God that we can contribute to the empowerment and rebuilding process in war raved Liberia. To God be the glory for His power working in and through us to reach out to our brothers and sisters in Liberia, West Africa. Let me assure all our donors that their dontations will make a big difference in the life of the church, schools, hospitals, orphanges, and the community…’Go ye therefore into all the world and make disciples’..”Â
