SPCK/USA at General Convention in Columbus, OH

There we were…Patti Joy Posan, Executive Director of SPCK/USA and Carol Marsh, Diocesan Representative-at-Large…Sunday afternoon, June 11th, ready to share the story of the mission and ministry of the Society with the delegates, young adult presence, bishops, and visitors to the General Convention.  From the opening of the exhibits to the closing on June 20th, we spoke with hundreds of people who were excited about the mission of the Church…people who wanted to “get involved” in mission ministry.  Each evening as we traveled back to our hotel, we expressed gratitude to Our Lord for the many people he brought our way during the day.  Many of the SPCK/USA Trustees were present at the convention, and all stopped by the exhibit, many staying to talk with those gathering around the exhibit.  Our thanks to these trustees: Grace Allen, Gini & Reid Peterson, The Rev Scott Kirby, The Rev Dr & Mrs Jim Cooper (Tay), The Rev Tim Holder, The Rev Kurt Dunkle, The Rt Rev William Skilton and Lynn.  During those 10 days, Carol and I shared the exciting ministry of SPCK/USA with people from all over the world and talk to many overseas bishops about the needs in their dioceses.  To all of you, thank you for stopping by the SPCK/USA exhibit and allowing us to share our passion for spreading Christ’s gospel to all.Â
