2007 Board of Trustees Meeting

SPCK/USA Trustees gathered in Sewanee, Tennessee April 26-28, 2007. While in Sewanee the trustees visted the Adopt-A-Seminary warehouse in Cowan, Tennessee to unload books theological books donated by several members of the board and to view the large inventory of books (over 12,000) that are carefully grouped and shelved awaiting shipment to Bible Colleges, seminaries and schools around the world.

They returned on Saturday to help prepare several shipments: 1928 Prayer Books and 1940 Hymnals were shipped to a small parish in Tennesse; Bibles, vestments and theological books were sent to St Cecilia’s Anglican Church in Ghana; theological books were shipped to the Diocese of Manicaland to the Anglican Lay Training Center; and Bibles and theological books were shipped to Cuttington College in Barbados.

The Board meeting was one of enthusiasm, rededication to the ministry of SPCK/USA, and excitement as we near the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of SPCK/USA in 2008.
